Toggling Between Tasks (or Operating Systems)

Tasks

As a continuation of our series, “RAQs: Randomly Asked Questions,” the following two questions also arose during our recent webinar. Feel free to keep ‘em coming!

Question: In terms of vegetation management and asset mapping, can these two tools be used simultaneously? Or are they two different pieces of software?

First, the technical answer: the Clearion vegetation management and asset mapping tools both leverage the same software that’s configured for different purposes. In the same way that you can switch from vegetation management to storm mode, you can have different user profiles that allow users to toggle between different tasks or modes of operation. Or, depending on your needs, you can have an instance that allows users to do many things at once. For example, you can have a field management tool that allows a user to add a tree removal, conduct a pole inspection, and map a pad-mounted transformer with sub-foot GPS accuracy without changing software. It’s all easily enabled by the configurability of the Clearion application. In other words, it’s completely up to you. Your tools can be separated and narrowly focused or bundled into one instance of software for teams who wear a lot of hats. Next, the non-technical answer: like Burger King, you can have it your way. Or this old SNL sketch about New Shimmer: it’s a floor wax and a dessert topping! We’ll deliver whatever works best for you.

Question: Can Clearion be used with Windows 10 and Windows 7?

Oh, yeah, you betcha! (But not at the same time.)
